Say hello to Brownie, if you see him. If you get there.
Was chatting to him at 6 this morning and if rain stops will be out there tomorrow so will do 👍 Flies (the big buggers) and mozzies in abundance at the moment, drove me out of the paddock as those horse flies nearly chew ya leg off. Well feels that way at least when they hook into you 🤣

Can you still get down to Forsayth from the George town side ? Never been in that area during the wet.
No not at the moment, Queenslander is running hard at .6 and Branch going even harder. New Dam is causing these two creeks to back up more than usual. Queenslander cuts road out to Cobbold Gorge from Forsayth also. Perhaps tomorrow but given more rain forecast would say probably not until Saturday perhaps - maybe if no further rain.
Forsayth to Einasleigh also cut by the Delaney - you can see the debri line how far up the Delaney was but has gone down a little since early morning.

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe you could do some specking if you have good eyes but know alot of the country near town has shiny silica like minerals which would make it harder. Further south has that darker red ground. Used to work with a murray fella from tenent creek way who did very well after the rains by specking for alluvial.

Would that be a yearly event Diginit or once in a thousand years?
According to locals been here decades, it is a big wet this year but must not be to uncommon as didn't create a lot of concern amongst them. It has washed out dams that have been there since adam was a boy and done a fair bit of damage to fencing etc. Countryside is greener than Kermit and the wildlife are loving it but need to learn the road rules. But everything is saturated currently so another big downpour would make it very interesting. ;)
