was adviced by couple of opal enthusiasts to go noodling! How does one attain a noodling licence and get permission and advice from opal miners to noodle among mullocks for opal goodies, what are good places for noodling. (in opal havens like Lighting Ridge, Coober Pedy) what are the charges or fees ta opal-lian PF

Unfortunately, opportunities for noodling in Lightning Ridge are generally much more restrictive now than was once the case. Have a look at this informative thread:

I think it's a bit the same in Coober Pedy and Andamooka now as well. Once upon a time you could go to any abandoned claim and fossick but I think vast tracts of that ground is now under mining leases and off limits.
