Haha yeah that'd be a great find. I have to admit though, i could be quite content with finding a mediocre (under a million ounces) patch in the outback. I have no doubt there's a huge resource out there for the private prospector.
 
There never was a thing as an easy find regardless. If you look back at history while they were finding a bit, it certainly wasn't easy!

Likewise now, it is still there and easy to find, IF you walk over it do your research, have the right equipment etc... Then yeah its easy :)
 
Well they reckon there is still more gold in the ground than we have ever taken out. Probably we have found all the "easy" gold and what's left is a lot harder to not only find but to get out. But you'd reckon with the price of gold today more prospectors would be encouraged to give it a go.
 
There is plenty of gold left,but it is harder to find.

You could say it is more thinly spread across the goldfields.

Don't know about plenty I'm going out almost every weekend have got a few pieces but still alludes me most times but it's still fun being out there :D

A whole day today for a lot of lead. The gold fairy was not there at Vaughan.

I know of at least one couple who found 232 ounces so far on their W.A trip this year ( including a 50 gram )

you dont throw them back at any size in this game.
