G'day. Brand new to the forum & all things prospecting & fossicking.
I'm from Katoomba in the Blue Mtns NSW but am moving to Llanarth (Bathurst).
Have been doing plenty of homework & now it' s time to do...... Am planning on going to start in Hill End, Sofala & Ophir.

G'day Wishfull. No not yet. I am going to buy one shortly. Have been advised that the minelab SD2200D or 2300 are good gold finders for the area's I'm interested in. Any other thoughts on detectors? I am thinking of a second hand one to start off.

Well you would be looking at around $2800 if your lucky and upwards for a second hand SDC 2300 they hold their value well. New one $3500 they are a good machine, easy to use, waterproof to 3 meters and fold up so you can put it in your back pack. Come with a battery charger spare skid plate and head phones, the headphones are not water proof but you can get them.
