Hello All,
Hoping this Covid19 is not sending you all crazy!!!
Im new to prospecting and am looking at detecting for gold and also relics.
Having trouble working out what detector to purchase that will suit both types? Recommendations are highly sort after to determine which unit is best suitable?
Cheers

Welcome aboard Bruwsr.... you'll be wanting a detector with the full.kit atm... a cloaking device will be a must in this climate, and a pair of silencer ear buds as well.
I dream of finding just a handfull of pull tabs (that'd tide me over) but alas the batteries must come out soon, any longer and I risk a little acid leakage man (and ain't no one wants that).
Sullenly and Morosely I wish you the best luck I can muster 8.( 8.( 8.( .... see you in the field..... one day 8.( .... 8.(

Hello - My name is Steve (ando57) - I have had an interest in gold and gems from a very young age. I am now 62 and have decided that a little prospecting might be the hobby I would like to enjoy. I live in Maryborough Queensland.
My reason for joining this forum is to hopefully make contact with people who can not only advise me on what gear I will require, but who also may be able to give me a few of the basics.
I have watched all the utube videos on chasing gold with detectors etc. and really have the urge to give it go.
Presently looking to purchase my first Gold Detector, pan and a few tools. Might have to wait for lockdown to finish before doing this.
Any one close by who can give me a few pointers and perhaps team up for some practical experience would be great.
Looking forward to becoming a regular contributor, Ando57

Hi Everyone, Im new to prospecting. went once to Sapphire bend (found a really small sapphire- not a cutter), but it was really exciting and fun for the kids.

Ive been watching heaps of you tube (not much else to do in iso). Ive become a huge fan of Walnliz!!!! I especially love her noodling videos. Just wondering if any of the places in Lightening Ridge are kid friendly to noodle and what the likely hood of finding something is?

Thanks for reading.

From First time fossicker (hopefully soon to be 2nd time fossicker)
