Hi my name is josh just getting started got a gm 1000 I have 3 days the Bendigo area and surrounding area to go detecting been out this morning 6 hours of scrap metal please help with any suggestions I only have this time away need to find something even if its only 1 gram

Mate, if you are picking up tiny trash and you are in a gold bearing area, its just a matter of time!
The more time on the ground with that coil close to the ground is boosting you chances of getting your wish!

Stick to old-time worked areas, right on the actual mullock heaps and go VERY slowly, digging even the tiniest signal. That's all there is to it, mate - lots of patience and steady, painstaking work.

There'll be less scrap in those places if others before you have picked it up, but if aren't finding shotgun pellets, then you will be missing gold.
