G'day fellow prospectors, after much researching and deliberation I finally bought my first Metal Detector. It's an EDS Plus II bought through Detech on Ebay. So far I have been on 2 outings on the beach, but am itching to get out to look for gold. The machine has performed very well and to the advertised specifications. Still learning some of the more advanced features but I am impressed with the depth that I am finding targets. Nothing to write home about but still lots of fun. Works well in wet and mineralised sand on the beach and by following the instructions, it does what they say. Any way happy prospecting to all.

G'day Jack, I live in Nerang up in the hinterland behind the Gold Coast. Born and Bred Qld'r, originally from Bundaberg. Lived on the Coast for most of my life. Have seen alot of Australia and visit Victoria 2 to 3 times per year. Next time I'm down that way I will be visiting the Golden Triangle and Beechworth. My brother in law has lived in Beechworth for 35 years or so, and knows the area very well. He is gonna take me to a few area's were he believes that there is still some gold to be found.
