I have only recently been bitten by the gold bug...but bit me hard..
I am gonna get into creek sniping, crevicing etc around se/central qld and also detecting in more arid regions of NW Qld during the cooler months. I have purchased my first detector, the gold monster, once I get my head around this I will be upgrading my detector and keeping the monster more for creek work.
I live in the wide bay region, have some options not too far from here to get started with a few private properties already pre approved to prospect on in known gold areas and am working on more up north.
I am lucky enough to have a geologist in the family which cuts down my learning curve regarding terrain etc but have zero experience, just gotta get time on the ground which I have plenty of.
