Gday gday everyone,

I guess you could say I'm relatively new to the prospecting side of things and it's all thanks to a good friend of mine, who has managed to spark a little fire in my belly when it come to fossicking.

Previously I would go away on camping trips to Oallen Ford and to Ophire with my buddy to give him a hand sluicing. For me it wasn't so much about the hunt for gold but the fact that I was getting out of the rat race and camping with close friends. Well that was until I started to see more and more of the shiny stuff. Yep before I knew it, I was hooked.

I was lucky enough to tag along on a trip out to ophire around easter time and got to meet a few of the members out there. Even with miserable weather it ended up being a fantastic weekend with some awesome people.

Looking forward to being apart of the group and hopefully meeting more of you out and about.

DrDuck, im from good old Chester Hill. No fossicking available in this suburb unfortunately but I'm lucky enough that my folks live in the oberon area which gives me a perfect base to go exploring in the surrounding areas
