Hi All,

I am new to prospecting, have recently bought an SDC2300 and we went on our first trip to Warwick are earlier this week, no gold yet but certainly enjoyed the trip.

I'm currently based in Brisbane and planning next trip, I'm keen to learn from others on the forum.

Cheers

Mick :)

Welcome Mick. It's nice out there isn't it. Did you stay at the Glendon Caravan Park? Camp or Demountable? There is gold there-i've been told. The SDC should work ok out there, even though it's been pretty well worked. Did you do Talgai and Durikai?
Cheers Jaros :p

Yes, its very nice down there.. it was good to get out of the city for a couple of days. We stayed in the Criterion Hotel in Warwick, Glendon camp ground had no cabins left and at -2 we didnt fancy camping.

As it was our first trip we spent 2 days there, first visiting Talgai on first day then Thanes creek morning of second day. Spent the afternoon of day 2 at Durikai state forest, although no hits there it certainly seems as though its worth another go.

We will probably head back to Dauriki next week for another look.. we are going to plan our spots a bit more first and have a plan in mind before we head out there.

Good to meet you all, I'll be sure to let you know how I go on next trip.
