Hey all:) if I'm finding lots of trash in an area ie lead shot buttons bullets and the likes, does that Indicate that not many detectors have Been in that area?

It means that not many have detected there !
Are there dig holes their from other operators ?
Is the area known for gold ?
You may be on a winner with patients and perseverance :)

As above, if gold is known to be in the area then I'd say your onto a good thing. Good luck with it Bigjilm.

Sounds like your digging the right targets , you just have to put yourself over it and hear it now :)

Stick to the shallow surfaced areas
And areas were you can see shale poking out with rounded pebbles !
And areas with bedrock showing !
Any shallow area your still in with a chance !
Eureka gold aren't to bad :)
And we're made to find it !
May be a little noises everywhere !
But when ya get your head around it all
You will eventually learn we're to look !
And find more and should be able to get
A big boy toy :D
I use a gmt a fair bit and find gold with it !
Gpx are the best !
But plenty of other detectors will find you gold :)
Good luck
