i am new to this .i find this today and i dont no whot it is.it show high numbers on my detetor .its not magneck

it is very hard .i have got scales yat .today was my first day detecing. the bigger stone will not fit in a match box.i have an equinox 800 and it was in gold 1 show numbers over 30

i found it in the middle of a creek 1 foot under the bottom.

To me it looks like a melted down aluminum can.

Weigh it and then tie a bit of cotton to it and dunk it fully without touching the sides of a cup of water sitting on some scales. Read how much the weight shown on the scales increases and divide that into the original weight. That will be its specific gravity (SG). Just look up the table of SG for different metals on the web and that will give you your answer.
