hello everyone my name is trevor and i have recently caught the gold bug but am finding the precious shiny stuff to be very elusive.
i am currently detecting with a sd2100v2 with depth upgrade and amplifyer using a 11'' DD coil and a 10''x5'' DD olyptical coil i have been told that this might be an older detector but is still regarded as a good gold finder and will hold its ground with some gp detectors i hope this is true.
What i am most interested in is some research on old riverbeds and reefs ive been trying to get them up on geovic but cant make the maps display what i need ,if someone would help me out that would be awesome or any advice for that matter would be appreciated.
also thanks to the fellas i met at rushworth today who gave me some helpfull hints and put me onto this site i forget their names lol.

Good friend of mine Dr Bean still runs a 2100, and is still doing reall well with it two. He now backs up with his SDC, good combination, cleans the area with his SDC, then 14"DD on the 2100.
As for GeoVic, Leads and reef lines are all overlays, found in the overlay section when you bring up the map, best of luck mate :)

thanks, its still gonna take a bit to figure out how to use geovic maps though

Yup! but it'll be well worth it. Remember you're starting 160 years late so if you want to succeed it helps to know where the deep leads and shallow working were.

Start with GEOVIC 2, it's a bit easier to navigate.
