My very first Coins!

Hi all.
The other day I found my very first coin, it was a tarnished 20c at an old park. Then 20 mins later a 1913 half penny, boy did I do a happy dance! My first pre-decimal, yahoo! LOL. Finished up with a sixpence as well, its still soaking as it was really crusty! Ring pulls and canslaw galore!! Am very happy with the X-Terra 705.

That certainly is a great start, sounds like a good spot you have picked for your first run.

You will be surprised how many more targets you will pick up if you redo your pre-decimal area. With those finds I would be doing a second run over the same zone.

Sheryl we have just found our first few old coins but we've not cleaned them. I read that some coins can lose up to 90% of their value if cleaned so I'm not game to touch them until we find out more.
