The SDC came with excellent headphones.

Don't try to reinvent the wheel. It will find gold straight out of the box.

Lots spend heaps on enhancers, phones, extra coils, wireless units etc.

Yes the more add ons and parts may cause you more troubles and cost
Keep it simple until you understand the machine

Haha so many people have already posted tons of advice for you, have you read the posts? If you cant find gold with the sdc then your detecting in the wrong spots

The biggest danger is getting lost in the bush. Detect with a friend.
Get yourself a GPS and learn how to use it.
Tell people where you're going, preferably the police.

my external speaker already has a booster built in i dont need another booster like sp01 as this would over load the detector due to taking on too much input feedback.
