My Mini Sluice

I built myself a mini sluice out of some scrap sheet aluminium at work but have been unable to test her out in the creek as there is bugger all water. So I set it up out the back of my shed and run it off the rain water tank. I fed my gravel through it which I had already panned just to see if a) the thing worked and b) to see if I had missed anything during my panning.

Turns out it works ok :lol: might need some practice on my panning.

The gold in the pic is extremely fine so I gather my little sluice works well. Can't wait to take her back out to the creek once water is flowing...it should keep the kids happy.

Thanks guys, your right Lee, with a good bit of water flow down the creek it should do well. I can set it up and the kids can shovel dirt into it all day....they will be having fun and finding me gold at the same time..its a win/win :lol:
