I've been trying to retire for years but Mrs M keeps reminding me at the most inconvenient times that I haven't finished the last job yet.

I just backed it out of the workshop after 10 years. Now I just have to bolt on all the big bits, seats, roof rack, bull bar, tyre carrier, light rack, snorkel, steps, etc etc. Then I'm told I can go look for gold :p

Very nice indeed but I think they have a very wide wheel base which would be no good for me since trees dont move so well you gotta go in between them to get to the good spots.
Still a very nice bit of kit.
What are they like on fuel?

Cheers

It's not as bad as you think Brad. Most wheel tracks have enough width just because most drivers don't place their wheels all that well. I spent about three years throughout the favorite 4WD tracks near each capital city in Australia. My job was design and testing of the RHD then I was the Australasian technical trainer and driver trainer. The local guys always took us to their toughest tracks and we never let them down. I had lots of invites too from the local 4WD clubs on their weekend trips. We never failed to follow but sometimes had two wheels outside the tracks.

Our prospecting vehicle is 2300 wide which is wider than the Hummer but if there's gold there we will get there...

Fuel? Yeah I wish my Isuzu was as good. It's the only H1 Alpha in Australia and powered by a 300HP 6.6L Duramax turbo diesel with an Alison 5 speed auto. It averages 14 L/100km. This one has only ever travelled 3,800 miles since new.

Just need WA to turn it around.

The turning circle is not a lot larger than the average sedan and an awful lot better than any late model Toyota 4WD.
