My beach finds

Went out to the beach today and had some bad luck
The scoop had gave way once again, but I was able to dig a few good targets
$1,10c,20c,5c,1 large cent,2 brown buggers, 1 3p,1 6p and a shilling

Bummer about the scoop, but at least you didn't come home empty handed.

I will fix the scoop - we can rebuild it better than before - faster - stronger - oops that is the six million dollar man - well I will weld a plate to replace that flimsy metal it is made with.

Some nice finds - all you were missing was a florin!

Sooo envious of all the silvers you lads get alllll the time!! Can't wait to find my first silver

You just need to find a gold bar instead of a sand bar, you could call your rebuilt scoop Steve(Austin) and haul in $6 000 000. Oh and maybe give the scoop a bit more meat up the back of the handle to share the stress load. Good to see what you're doing is working, funny how finding silver can drive you into the hunt even more(gold too,...sorry).

20 coins - 12 pre-decimals and seven of those are silver - some moderns and even a mystery coin

And a Chanel type logo that rang up gold on the CTX

Beautiful night - tired but we had lots of fun! (Again). Lot of electrolysis to do this weekend!

Went out for a mid day hunt at a beach we have never detected before - Glenelg South - no gold and no silver but here is our finds....

About nine dollars in moderns and a kids ring ... Still ... An enjoyable time out!

You blokes look like your pulling coins from the centre of the earth lol but your doing better than me on the pre decimal front

Thanks TD - lol - it seems that I am digging close to the centre of the earth - since we got these Minelab detectors I have noticed the average target we are detecting are at 30cm+ - perhaps the reason we are finding so many pre decimals.

Ok here is some Sunday morning reading for you all ... The team went out for another night detecting session and it all was happening - here are the finds ...

Yup - pre decimal silvers, jewelry and gold!

We got a large penny/ 20 cent / 10cent / four brown buggers/ 2x 6p / 1 x 3p - a couple of brooches / and a gold and diamond ring found by the CTX

I hope that's a big screwdriver, great finds. How are some of them looking after the clean-ups ? Lots of lead(close to gold) so you are bang on in the right area for it all Paul, good on ya !

Well done Paul on the finds. That is a very nice ring you found! You might want to hand that one into the police mate, don't forget to take a photo of it before you hand it in. Wait 3 months then it is legally yours, and you can sell the sinkers to a scrap metal dealer when you have a couple of kilo's of them lol.
