Got a test run in this arvo quick 2 hour run ,
The change in angles to the grizzlys is the greastest thing i have come up with :Y: :Y: :Y:
Never scraped a single rock off it :D also instead of having 20 rocks an hour getting stuck in bars i might have had 2 :Y: :Y: :Y:
I am super happy :D :D
Also it ment i could lay the hopper back further to give the material more time in spray zone :Y:
The dump zone onto bottom run may be a little fast it is hitting the back wall first which is good to keep paydirt moving the right direction :Y: its causing a bit off a jump over the mat clamp but i dont think its enough of an issue to need changing yet as GOLD was still in the early part of the mat.

As for the dream matt :Y: :Y: :Y: :Y: love it!!! anyone that sees it in action will be buying one :Y:
Had to increase the size of spray bar holes to get the flow lucky i took drill with me :Y:
The VORTEX DREAM MAT caught GOLD nice and early :Y:  :D i would only have two cupfulls of cons for 2 hours :Y: :party:the only blonde sand was under the mat clamp the rest were heavies, havent panned it yet but i seen a dozen bits in the mat :Y:
Will get a few photos up tomorow.
Having a few brandies to celebrate a successful overhaul   its always a worry to chop something up that is working fine , but now its twice as easy to use i am as happy as a pig in poop yeeehhaaaa  :D :)

Hahaaa! Well done Aussie! Looks like the rig now! Yeah watching the particles move in the Dream mat is really cool. :D
I look forward to seeing how it runs. :Y:

AF I don't have anything it'll be a shed build with what I've got when I get it happening. I've got a heap of camlock fittings and poly /pvc the rest I'll have to source. That dream matt and the grizzly's look the goods. The angle of the dangle looks to be working a treat,

I like your improvements on the 1 you've altered, you've done a great job with explaining that process :Y:.

Check out gold rats bankers , well priced really with dream mat in em :Y: , but if you have the time and materials go for it :Y: , there was a coupla times during the overhaul i thought with the mat and bits and pieces i bought i had a new banker 1/3rd payed for.

I havent shared to much about my banker before as i was still trying and changing things but i felt now i had enough tips and mods to turn a entry level banker into a efficient plant, theres some must haves in the info for any banker and some little things to make life easier.
I am no expert , some probably think it wont work or i am mad for blurting info out, but i am happy to help those who want it.

Thanks for sharing mate, I have already started converting mine, the sluice bed extension is done.
I was kind of thinking the punch plate gold rat uses in the hopper would be better than grizzly bars, but it's hard to find.
Might have to rule up some lines and spend a few hours drilling.
Thinking of copying the top part of the gold rat hopper as well with the mesh and matt that's left over from my old sluice bed.

.

I use a piece of punch plate reversed angled in the hopper before the grizzlys .. Helps hold back clay and wash off the rocks before it flows out as overburden.

Got many drill bits ? You'll need a few. Takes freakin ages drilling out that ****.

What size holes? And made from what? SS is expensive as, I was lucky enough to get hold of 8mm alloy high percentage punch. But very hard to source. I can get the same in black steel easy as. I spray the underside in cold gal, and recoat top after use, surface rust gets polished of quickly. The black steel im using now takes a better hammering than the alloy.

Hey Aussiefarmer

I also made the following mod to the legs

drilled each leg at say 1/2" spacings with a 3mm dia drilll bit thru to the adjacent side and insert a bent clout so you don't need to use the winged adjusting clamps which are forever coming loose (threads should be fine not coarse). Also closed off one end of each leg to stop the banker from sinking.

cheers
Ron
