Hi nick, we live in miranda. I have been using gold hog mats the few times we have been out. Got mixed feeling bout it. We will be away for the next month but when we get back you are welcome to come an have a look at the mats. Cheers.

Still some water on the Turon around Coles bridge area

Threre was lots of pools along the river but the river was not flowing...
The green algae though! Kept wrapping itself around the intake

Yeah having the same problem. But using an old stocking helps.

Been camped down at Coles bridge since last Friday.
Ran the banker near the bridge Saturday and 2 hours sunday for 0.4grms of fine gold and small flakes
Monday we went for a drive to sofal and Wattle flats to take a look around. Tried to do some detecting at Wattle flats but found nothing.
Today did a whole lot of test panning in different parts of the creek and found a spot to set up the banker.
Only ran it for about an hour this afternoon and the clean out showed some good colour.
Will head back there tomorrow and work the whole day and see what we can collect.
