Here’s my little finds for the morning. Went outside with my cheapo detector to look for a clip I dropped out the window. Couldn’t find it! As I was coming round the front of the house I let the detector have a quick sniff. In about 5 minutes this is what I dug up.

This was all found in the tiny corner of the front yard. The big coin is a 1950 one penny. Next one a 10 cent piece. The smallest is a one cent. The last round thingy I think is a button. Besides the lead weight the rest is junk. Best finds I’ve had in months lol.

Cleaned up the button.
Turns out it’s the lead-head of an old iron roof nail lol.

Any pre decimal coin find is a good inspiration to get out there and keep swinging and digging..... there’s gotta be more around, just search out your local historical locations.

A mate who is a brickie had a collection of lead ship tanks and soldiers even full steel can tinnies left in cavity’s, he found doing renos in period homes of over the years.
All by eye after parts being demolished.
I see guys searching demos around perth alll the time one recently across the road from kings park.
