Nice work, specially the Yellow Belly & Gang Gang. How about a big Murray Cod.
I did a lifesize Murray cod for a bloke years and years ago ozziii and it took me bloody ages. It was very hard getting all that patterning along the body correct. Since then i've steered clear of painting them unless i have to.

Yeah I reckon they would be hard with the type of mottled pattern they have & they different shades of green, brown & some black.
Awesome looking fish though.

Yeah, they are, especially the New England Cod or the ones out of clear water like lake fish or from clear rivers such as the Ovens, Upper Murray etc.

Out standing scrounger! You could make a living from those, if you want to sell some, there is a site called lure lovers, they go crazy for art of that quality as well as drawings of iconic lures.

I'd like to see the trout. It's quite obvious fish make a good subject for artwork, especially with color added. Nice work Scrounger! 8)

Checking my email tonight, one set of colored pencil I'd had ordered got back-ordered last time. Took them a while but will be coming soon. This company has been really good at making sure you get everything ordered, never have been short changed yet, last order got everything (except colored pencils) a refund check for $8 and not the first time either for refunds. I use a calculator and shipping is free because of the order size I make. The colored pencil set (1 of 3 sets ordered) and 1 bottle of colored ink once, are the only things that ever were back-ordered first, good considering the amount of supplies now have at home.

Not doing color yet but I'm so impressed with the fish you posted Srounger, most definitely will be on my list for future artwork.

my sister collects artwork with birds in them, cant remember the name of her favourite artist but would be interested in one of your peices bud?

My bird art is mostly little pencil and watercolour wash as per the gang gang cockatoo nicko61. If you'd like to see a few more i can email some if you'd like? You can pm me also?

Here's a few trout paintings. Other than the lone rainbow trout all the rest have been used in books or magazines. The two circular design artworks were used on 'collector' plate decorations and were worked up off black and white 'medal' designs i did. Thanks for looking, hope you enjoy them :) :)

G'Day Mates! :D Yes, trout of any species are quite colorful and look great as artwork. It's going to be a while until I can get to color.....so will have to play around with black & white for now.
