Anyone come across these and do they hold any value? Have a 5c piece from years ago floating around, and just today got given a $2 coin struck just on the queens head side with a very pronounced shallow and deep ring around the outside, enough it stands out as being off Centre when struck. Any feed back appreciated. I'll try and get a pic up later today.

Error coins ... Are valued according to the severity of the error and the type and age of the coin ... It's rarity. Of course they are worth what someone is prepared to pay.

A slightly off centre stamp is a common error and probably on the lower end of value ... Missing digits in the date to one side of the coin missing in error are more severe and sought after... My father found a Lincoln cent that was stamped twice on one side making two Lincoln memorial buildings intersect like a cross... It was valued at $50...

The picture of the 20c coin, showing the smooth edge along the coin.

Try as I might my phone will not take a decent picture of it showing the depth discrepancy. It's sort of scalloped off centre, with a large Crescent shape and a very narrow one on the adjacent side on the queens side only. Thanks for replying gents. I'll put it aside for someone down the track to have where hopefully it's worth more than the$2+ value it has now.
