Would anyone have some miners moss for sale that would be willing to post to me. I cant seem to source any locally. Need a bit 250900. Pritty please :)

Both bunnings in either direction of here dont stock it. I did have alook in big w but no luck. Also clark rubber was a no go either..

ive never used fake grass but i heard its hard to clean out properly.

Ive found bit on ebay thatll fit but for $60 its a bit steep.

I just figured id ask on here. :)

Strange,
Big W usually have door mats that are made out of spaghetti matting.
Around $13:00 each.
I have a post here some where that is a scanned copy of the tag.
They can order some in for you. :)

Hey T, it helps when you know what the term is for the matting. I've been to Bunnings in Adelaide, tried Clark rubber online, and couldnt find it anywhere. Seeing your post, and realising its called Spaghetti matting, made all the difference. Thanks mate. But I ended up getting some small groove matting that I hope will do the same thing - probably not as effective but now what Ive got, I've got it.

You mean this Tath? $12 BigW

I got some of this matting from Clark Rubber, but it has a closed back, not open like miners moss.
Will it make any difference?
I must add, I havent found any gold in my sluice using it yet :(

Cheers,
Paul
The BIGW mat is closed as well, I got the bunnings blue which is open and thick and it does go on special sometimes.

Ive seen this but thought it was s bit thick?

I figured the thicker it is the more concerntrates it could hold, I've only used it on 1 sample run, :| no gold but it trapped all the black sand so looks to be good.

I got hold of some of the blue spag from Bunnings a few months ago, but now I have my Walbanker to the stage where I am setting up the riffles and matting I am not so sure about the thickness. I might have a look at the Big W mats, does anyone know the thickness? Also, what is the general consensus re backed vs. un-backed spag mat? As the Bunnings blue spag is un-backed I was going to run ribbed matting under it (approx. 3mm thick). This will also increase the overall height. It has become a bit of a dilemma. May just need some backyard testing/experimentation before I go out in the field.

The closed back mats are around 5 mil thick.
I prefer a closed back mat as it stops the heavies working their way
along under it.
If gold drops in the closed back matting. It stays there. :)

So the backed is about half the thickness. I can't believe I'm gonna do this, but looks like I'm telling the missus we are going shopping...I usually avoid Big W and the likes like the plague! At twelve bucks it will not hurt to grab a couple.

Cheers Tathradj
