Hi Bogger, it seems to me that people don't often sell sdc 2300's, their like hens teeth.

Wishfull to true they are indeed ................... so I guess it's a little of demand dictates the price at the moment.

MBasko ........ indeed that one did have a few hundreds worth of goodies with it so I guess buyer did walk away with probably $800 more in his pocket and it did look to have had very little use. My comment was a bit "in general"

Hi fellas, looking for an article Nenad wrote on start up steps
for the SDC. Would like to copy them before HC trip. Anyone know how to
find old posts.

Thanks Polky.

Well fellas thanks to you I'm now $3600 poorer ( but happily so ).
We've ordered the SDC2300 with a few treats chucked in, and it should be here next week.
I think we've made a good choice as we did a lot of research.
Thanks again for your input.
Cinken
Good luck with the new purchase Cinken. I will be interested in your views once you start operating it as I am looking closely at it as my first detector also.
Regards

G'day. I was offered a SDC from Adelaide dealer at EOFY deal for $3600 including carry bag and skid plate plus free shipping (160 kays) but only until 15th July but bugger me me only just booked in to do my tax next week. So wrote and told them they may miss out on the sale cos I don't think funds will be available before offer ends.
So does $3600 sound ok ?

Hi mate, i bought one in January from o`l matey at Adelaide Miners den , was 3500 no extras so they`re still same std price ( its NOT a special deal )

S/H everybody wants 3000-3300 so you might as well get a new one

cheers dave

Nah tell em their dreamin ............................ Detectaden $3399 and Central west $3500 and that's before even speaking with them ?
:)
Have nearly worn the little blue one out past week or so .................... it's been crying and screamin quite a lot ;)

Yeah, I reckon that price is a bit over the odds Wishfull. If it was me i'd be trying to get either a dd protective cover (important because you WILL be constantly putting the machine down on sharp quartz etc) and a pick or maybe an extension cord for earphones thrown in. A skid plate should come with the machine anyway imo. The sdcs collapse down small anyway so a specialised carry bag isn't really necessary imo any bag will do if you really need it.
I reckon you can do a better price elsewhere/and or drive a much harder bargain. Good luck, they're a great little detector.

Agree $3600 is average. Can definitely do better if you're not in a hurry. Wait til they're on special at $3300 and grab one

Thanks for the input fellas. Mmm what is a dd cover?
I'm wondering if they will do a stock taking sale soon. I'm not really in a hurry but I won't to find gold again. I did wonder about the use of a bag. I mean my back pack would be ok if I had to haul it somewhere and yes they fold up small. I will brief you all on what response I get. Hope they aren't on the forum.

Wishfull, Double "D" leather is a manufacturer that produces lots of great products made from leather and strong canvas etc.
If you go online and type in Double D leather and go into their gold detecting section you will see the sdc protective covers (for the body of the detector) i'm talking about. They are very good and a worthwhile investment even if you have to buy one yourself (better if you can get one thrown in when buying the sdc) to protect an expensive piece of kit that you'll always be putting down on the ground.

Hi just after some advice ,
I know of a sdc 2300 going for $2850 it has warranty till 2018 did they make fakes of this also how can we be sure it's not also how would or should we pay for it PayPal etc for security .
