Thanks for the Opinions everyone i am now convinced a 4500 i probably the best way forward so am going to put funds aside aside and save some more cash to get one.

Good move steven. I've swung a GPX4500 for quite a few years and it's proven to be as good as anything else out there in most conditions however I'm now considering upgrading to the GPX6000.

Well got sucked into a impulse buy this weekend a SD2000 Mod cost me not to much at all so will fill the gap as a backup until i save the case for 4500
haven't tested in the bush yet hopefully next weekend if not working.
