Minelab GP Series 11 Mono Coil.

Hi all,I have an abovementioned coil on my gpx 4500,and was wondering whether these coils are as good as the commander coils,and which came first.

As I understand it, the Commander coils were introduced along with the GPX series of detectors, which require tighter coil specifications than previous Minelab coils.

The commander coil is the last minelab coil ,they are a very good coil erfect:

Super Gold Search were the first coils, followed by the GP series, then the Commanders, which are current.

I think with coils "better" is measured on a tiny scale, I would say YES, but by how much is anyone's guess.

I have a range of coil models across the 3 major brands & all work fairly well on the 4000, although I reckon my fav 2 would be the 11" Commander DD & the 14x9" Coiltek GoldStalker Mono

I think one would need a very very good imagination to notice a diff between the supplied coil on a 45 and that on a 5!
