Good luck with your adventure hAYyoUinAU. Hope the NOX works well for you.
Did some more testing today with the 6 coil. Worked a section of a mullock heap with the SDC as I noticed the paydirt was a couple of inches under some overburden. Could have removed that material but I was lazy. Heard a slight deviation of the threshold on the detector and removed about an inch of material before waving the wand over the area again. Needed to remove about another half an inch of material before I got a faint, repeatable signal. At this point I changed to the NOX to see what it was going to say. No signal was coming through so it was back to the SDC and the hole was deepened. Again the NOX was turned on to test the target. This process was repeated a few times until I was able to get a response from the NOX. At this point the hole was quite deep.
About the depth of the blade of the scoop. The NOX was giving a target ID signal of between 9 and 10. I knew that it would be a slightly larger piece of gold to what I had been finding or a piece of junk as most of the small bits were coming through with IDs of between 1 and 4. A nice little half gram mer popped out.
Looks like the small coil punches to about an inch or so on the small pieces. After recovering the gold, I ran the NOX over the hole and got a signal in the wall with a target reading of 7. Extracted a nice little bit of about .15 g.
Ended up using the SDC for about an hour due to the depth of gold on this particular mullock heap. Did manage one more small piece with the NOX later in the afternoon. Not a big tally but a bit of fun playing.
Cheers for now
