Members living in Cobar .

I would like to get in contact with members living in Cobar . Thinking of going there this year or next . Just wanting general information , like who to see and get in contact with . I have passed through Cobar but never spent time there . I live in Sydney .

A few people in Nyngan. Not seen any from Cobar though that means little. Uaed to take trains out there from Nyngan.

I can drive from my place to Nyngan on one tank of diesel , 600 klms. Then on to Bourke and stop the night at the motel . Next day drive to Barcaldine , very good drinking water , stay at the hotel . Next day drive to Kynuna where I was opal mining . I could do it in 2 days when I was younger ......

Years ago I bought a diesel compressor for opal mining in Q'land . I only had an XY Ford to pull it with , it was about 1.2 tonnes . I decided to send it on the railway to Bourke . It would be flat country after that . I had to take it into Darling Harbour in Sydney . The guy did not know what he was doing and only charged me $50 !!! I had removed the battery and I picked it up in Bourke .
