They are very brittle - I destroyed many Neodymium magnets making gauss guns, and had bits and pieces flying everywhere. I also found that it was best not to throw them at stuff.

spray on tub liner might be the go for coating the magnets

Bloody resins and epoxys are hard to grab over here. Probably the best thing would be those 2 part epoxys from vehicle repair stores, or dipping it into a plastic seal. Lucky none of those chips went in the eye rj

Did the crack happen from a drop or snapping onto another neodymium? Or just some rough work? I've only really seen them crack when they snap hard

Have a crack at this stuff. I bought some in Bundaberg a few years ago to use on tools etc. Pretty cool stuff.
I got it in a tin that you can just dip stuff into.
