Any one see that some low life stupid had a stash of ICE in her bedroom and her little 14 moth old baby found it and ate it. FFS
Ice should be wiped off the face of the planet along with all the dealers. :mad: :mad:
This is why I and my lovely wife are atm at 59 and 60 looking after a 5 y/old and my step son is looking after a 15 year old. Hanging isn't enough honestly.
We were just just about to retire and travel Oz. :(

Not a rant mate . You and your wife can hold your heads high.
 
One of my work mates is in exactly the same boatbas you Wishful, he is mid 50,s with a 7 yo hand son in his care, same reason(though little one didn't eat any)
I have so much respect for you and your wife, well done mate. Ice is as bad as smack, worse in some ways.
 
Full respect to Mrs wishful and yourself I agree bring in the death penalty for trafficking keep ya head high and I hope the gold gods shine on you when you are on your retirement trip
 
Thank you for your comments it comforting that we are not alone, appreciate it The thing that really gets me going is My wife's so called daughter is getting money for looking after aforesaid child when the child hasn't been living with her for 5 months or more. and threatend her Mum that if we take her c/link money she will come and get child and we will never see her again....go figure :mad the law keepers are doing f all about it.
 
Hi wishfull sorry to hear your situation but I would take those c/link payments that she is probably using to buy the drugs and if she tried to take the kids I would tell child services to have her drug tested no hope getting kids back while using.Sometimes it's cruel to be kind.

Things are about to change, yes we know she is buying ice with it, she even tried to get money off of her 15 y/old son who she knew was saving up for one of those play stations p4's or what ever, but her son is over her..hates her in fact. She even claimed that she wrote her car off and tried to get us to "loan" her some money to buy another car ...what ever! Latest one is she has broken up with old bf who is a dealer ice addict as well and now would like some money to rent another house and have her darling daughter back because she is missing her and depressed. What do you do with it ! again another rant. I tell you it will be a very cold day in Hell before I or my wife trust that what ever it is ever again. She used to be a very nice looking girl, not anymore 45 kgs rotting teeth and no brains Nuff said.

It's time the judicial system in Australia gives automatic maximum sent (no option for reduced or minimum) in circumstances such as - Drugs, Murder, Armed Robbery & the like. It's also time we as a nation need to start looking at building prisons to detain people for the term of their natural life.

The only thing cool about ice is the body in the box.
 
The govt has to put their little footsies down and fn stomp on anyone selling this stuff ice, extacy and the like. Like in Bali get cought you're dead, end of story.
Makes you wonder if there are high up people high.

That's not the worst of it. My daughter in law also has twin girls that will be going to school next year that are living In a dump of a house with mice and cockroaches crawling all through the place that her bf ....x... wns. Just seems to come back to when our govt decided to give kids 5 grand each to have babies. Night all.
 
Not just the drugs that these kids are exposed to. There is the people that they are exposed to, and what can happen to the kids when mum, or dad is off their face.
 
Thing is doctors put kids on amphetamines from 3 years old these days, Ritalin, Dexamphetamine. Then when they become teenagers it seems that weed and alcohol aren't the only appealing substances to use or abuse any more, they think "why would another amphetamine be bad" when the family doctor put them on similar drugs in the first place, it seems to be a natural progression for the chemical generation. Half the kids who are prescribed amphetamines will share with their buddies at school or swap them for other stuff.

I'm not condoning ice as it nearly killed my brother, he was 2 days from dying, though fine now. I've also had other friends lose their marbles after using the stuff and I refuse to have friends who use it. Also my mum had a scary experience with an ice head recently in their bottle shop, 19yo kid came in with a machete and threatened to cut his own throat, lucky my mum talked him out of it as he was previously a nice young bloke.

These drugs should be legalised on prescription with regular counselling for the boofheads that want to take them, why keep allowing criminals to line there pockets with hundreds of millions in profits every year?

Ice has affected almost every family in Australia, same as heroin did in the 1970's.

I've made the link between Ritalin and Dexamphetamine for behavioral problems before to the problem we have with Methamphetamines in society and when you think about it and talk about it a lot will tend to agree. It's like a chemical kick in the pants instead of proper discipline like a copping good hiding or getting the cane.

Amphetamines have always been in society but it's only in the last 10-15 years that they have become such a widespread and insideous problem and you have to ask why........
 
Wow, that's awful, chin up mate, I hope it works out for the children.

Ice is a curse, I heard of a family who bought a house that used to be a ice making house, all the walls and carpets were tainted with it and the children were getting sick, but they had no idea why. Eventually they found out what the house was used for, anyway the house has to be demolished as it's seeped right into everything.
 
Good luck, they are lucky to have you both.
Maybe a longer term plan when it suits you can take the 5 year old with you and your wife on the trip around Aust for a few months.

best education ever.

Well funny you should say that. We are contemplating that just beed to organise a few other things before that can happen.
 
Good on you wishfull don't let this stop your life or trips just add a couple more to the plans after all there family and by the sound of it the kids could use a break and I'm sure they would treasure that memory for life and see how it should be .Hats off to you and your missus for your efforts good luck mate.
