Well we had rain and hail
Fri and sat ,
Very fresh temperatures , but persevering with the cold and bad weather
Did produce a couple of small ones over the weekend

And the fire was really welcome soon as the sun was low
So overall
Sun was a nice day
And over the weekend had good company and a great time
were these all found in a small area or scattered across ground where you couldnt pinpoint their origin ?
if i found lots of small bits like that i would be tempted to dig deeper in the spot and put the ground through a sluice or highbanker to see if there was deeper fine gold there that the detector didnt see
what kind of ground was it ?
I only find what I can detect
I'm not into wet prospecting !
The ground is gold bearing for many km!shallow and deep alluvial ,
There are glory holes !
A previous weekend out there I got 33
The weather always uncovers more!
I'm in it for the hunt !
Not to clean out every last bit!
I often find patches with over 40 nuggets Normaly subies!
In different areas !
And once I'm satisfied I've worked it to my best potential
Without flogging it to hard ,(unless I'm pulling multi grammers up)
I use them areas for on the way home for pinging a couple
If I've had a fruitless day prospecting!
By doing this I havnt had a godless day for well over 12 months !
But each to their own
I like to leave a little for the next generations ie
My kids and grand kids if I'm around !
If I'm not they will have a head start with gps locations
And information,and what I've found
to take them straight to the gold
With their newer technology ,
That may go deeper and find the ones I leave or miss
