Anyone know if there's gold in kurkuruc creek around Kilmore?

Pretty sure it's all on private land so you would have to get property owners permission apart from locations where it passes under roads. Have you done any other research other than your question, I haven't heard of any finds or seen anyone having a look.

I was reading something on trove about the old timers gettin heaps of gold from quartz in Kilmore (I think, can't for the.life of me find it now) and I've also heard that Dry creek has some gold in spots. Thought it was worth enquiring about as I'm in Wallan. It does look like all private property on Google Earth I know.
Also, I'm pretty stupid, so it probably doesn't contain anything, cheers

Mate the best thing is to introduce yourself to a few property owners and see how you go, only one need say your welcome to have a look. If you do get permission go the extra mile to make sure you clean up and obey all requests of the owner. I wont have time for a while but when I do we can catch up and scout a few places I'm just out of Broadford to the east. HTY (Hunting The Yellow) lives in Wallan send him a pm he has a great wealth of knowledge with the local area. He hasn't been on for a while but I'm sure he would welcome a pm :beer:

Cheers for that, I may take you up on that offer one day, although not sure if you'd regret making it, coz I'm still pretty green and still slowly acquiring the gear I need. I've kinda been hangin back till I get a few hunts under the belt before I try teamin up with anyone, not that it is unappreciated though. A very noble/humble thing to do thankyou very much.
