I was wondering if anyone has had any luck prospecting in the Korrumburra Leongatha area
I travel to that part of the world regularly but cannot dig up any history of gold
Any info would be greatly appreciated

I don't know if you can fossick here or if there is even any gold or gems there but I remember I used to do night and day dives from a boat sometimes around seal rock off of Phillip island and I think the Cambrian Greenstone belt is exposed on the beach of the island if I remember correctly opposite to seal rock that is where I would see if you could fossick around there or try to follow it back to where it is exposed and you are permitted to have a look other than that Kilcunda has a great surf beach where the channel inlet runs into the beach I would try there for rings and things.. good luck

Thanks guys

I think i will drive further down towards Moe & prospect some creeks in that area
Coal seams dont sound as attractive as gold seams
