Hi from Caloundra SE QLD. I'm just new here. I have recently bought a GPS 5000 and Ive been doing a lot of research on prospecting. I sent to Victoria for my detector so I was unable to take part in the training that was supposed to come with it. I bought the DVD Unwrapping the GPS 5000. IT was very informative but Im still struggling to get it. I was wondering if there is any one who could help me by providing info as to where I can do a course in my area. Thank you :)

Hi Tammy, i'm sure there is someone will help:try the Caloundra lapidary Club." caloundralapidaryclub.org.au". If no luck one of our guys are sure to help.
Welcome.

Hi Jaros. Yeah good thinking. I know where that is opposite my daughters high school. Much obliged.

Hi gcause. Thankx for the welcome. I like signature of equipment. You certainly have the goods. I will get a sluice one day but Im going into the dry land when the time comes. Up to the NT and across the top to Marble Bar then down to Leonora. And beyond. Going on 6 to 9 month jaunts at a time. Going to be serious about it. I cant wait for the new life style :)

G'day Tammy_W. You will find heaps of info about the 5000 here. You have the best machine money can buy so it's only a matter of time before you start reaping the rewards. Good luck.

Only problem is work keeps interrupting my detecting time so they hardly ever get used unfortunatley. Good luck with the trip. :D

Oh K gcause. I hope you find time for your passion soon. Good luck to you too, I hope you find a retirement patch :D

G'day Tammy, Clermont detectors do training for minelab customers, try giving Andrew a call at his shop he might be able to help you out. I did a days training with him last year and found him to be a wealth of knowledge and a good bloke as well.
