Welcome to the forum Shifty.

All of these places have been good in the past and on their day will continue to produce yellow. Lots of hard work and junk between them.

- moliagul
- muckleford
- whipstick
- tarnagulla
- laanecoorie

Essentially any bit of state forest in the Golden Triangle has the potential to give up a bit of gold. GeoVic has been the best resource for me using the historical gold and mineral overlays. I haven't purchased any maps or books as some suggest that they may not be as accurate as they could be.

Also worth booking a training day/tour with someone as you can learn lots about using a detector, detector choice for different areas, geology, etc - whatever it may be that you find you aren't knowledgeable enough in.

Marksman has a good thread re: tours that forum users have attended and would recommend. https://www.prospectingaustralia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=22783

The areas you have mentioned, books and maps, how to use GeoVic and all that sort of thing have been discussed many times over on the forum. The search function at the top of the forum works really well and is your best friend in regard to finding all of this info ;)

Best of luck :Y:
