While away on the gt camp the wife and kids were enjoying a weekend at the beach. Remember her mentioning that she sent me a photo but didn't receive it and I thought nothing more of it. Was very surprised tonight to receive a text with said photo actually sent while there not later on. Obviously not just the post that's sometimes a bit slow. Anyone had this happen?

Yep, I've had quite a few texts come late. Used to be a pain at work when employees had to text the office to say they are safe and sound (remote work). Sometimes we'd accuse them of not bothering to call in, and then have to chase them up, only to receive the scheduled text a day or so later. The area they were calling from had full mobile coverage, despite being classed as remote.

If I had cut my leg off, I'd definitely be relying on a voice call, not a text. :|

Being work related I don't think I would rely on it either but lucky it wasn't ,damn near 2 1/2 weeks late. Not problem in this situation but just have never seen it before.

It has to do with having your mobile data turned on.Photos are an MMS and require data to be turned on to send and receive them.

Haven't change my settings since I've had my phone. It's probly on its last legs a vintage I phone3 .only reason it's still working I think is I've never updated anything. :) it'll be a sad day when it dies completely.

I've had the same thing happen. Also same thing with the work thing to. Bastages accussed me of deleting the msg they sent me on the work phone. Couple of weeks later I'm syanding there in the office and the work phone goes off. Boss gives me daggy look and I pull it out and it's the missing msg they sent 2 weeks b4. I showed the boss, no apology though. The icehole.
