Hey monty,
I wet the coin and dunk it into the bicarb the rub it until the powder starts turning black then rinse and repeat until clean.

If you have the cash I would get a tumbler with the walnut shells for sure as it won't ruin the surface and comes out polished better than the method above. In saying that I'm not sure how well it gets the junk off if its really crusty

That second coin on the left which looks like it was found in the water was there anything sitting on top of it attached
where you broke it off when you found it?

I have found pennies that look green when found in the salt water beaches.

Its weird to have it on one half and not all over.

Wolfau: i found it below the high tide line. As far as i can recall it was all green when i pulled it out. The top half fell off at some stage. Cheers Dave

Thanks for that Sa_Bogan. Appreciate the info.

I will be researching the tumbler a bit more seriously now, but I still want to set up my electrolysis device and give it a go!!

Cheers. Monty.
