G'day everyone.

I got my detector about a year ago but due to a back injury, I've only used it a hand full of times. I live in the Blue Mountains and have had a fossick around Turon. A couple of weeks ago I went to a beach on the Central Coast near the inlaws and within an hour or so I dug up almost $20 and a silver ring. Not bad for a hack I thought. I've got lots of learning ahead of me and hopefully some good finds. I look forward to watching some of the discussions, maybe providing some input but definitely learning from you all.

Until next time, see y'all.

Welcome to the forum Cartay. Hope the back is well and truly on the mend mate, and not hindering the detecting too much. Sounds like the detector is doing its thing well on those beach hunts....and hopefully the Turon will give up a few nuggets for you as well.

The forum has some great info amongst the threads, so feel free to join in the conversations on topics which have personal interest to you.

All the very best of luck with it,

Cheers Wal.

Living in the Blue Mountains you are so close to so may gold locations. How cool to be able to go "hunting for the day", and go home for a nice meal and warm bed after a good days prospecting. Beach is further away than goldfields!! Welcome and keep us informed of what you find.

Thanks guys. Wal, the backs been buggered for almost 2 years so it's been a long road, with no end in sight. But, I'm not going to let that get in the way of life! Fingers crossed for that nugget.

I went to Balmoral today with not the greatest payload. And I agree, the goldfields are closer.

Sean
