Howdy all, first post, new to the site and new to metal detecting. Purchased a Xt705 gold about 6 months ago, still learning. Living in S.A doesn't give me many options apart from parks and beaches. I have been to Chapel Hill and Jupiters Creek a couple of times, but pulled trash mostly, no colour yet. 
Any way, me and the missus are heading over to the Grampians at the end of September, staying in Ararat for a week. Would it be worth bringing the 705 and having a look at the old miners sites around Ararat while we are there, or is the ground to mineralised for the Vlf to cope. Any advise would be very appreciated.
