In a world where nothing of worth comes for free, I'd say lack of trust plays more of a role vs whether one is dumb or not.

Handing chocolate out for free as a promo is believeable, handing out free gold or silvers bars from a complete stranger will always raise suspicion.
 
Right i watched the link now and yeah derrrr, i dont like snickers so i would took the coin :lol: .
People just dont trust and we are made to believe if its to good to be it usually is, but you could tell people thought gold was is only a color and not a valuable metal.
 
Goldpick and Aussiefarmer are right I reckon,these people probably thought they were being smart by taking the Snickers because who gives away real gold.Hence the guy who says"what's the coin made of?"
