metal detecting goal:
buy a caravan.
travel around australia.
hunting nuggets.
camping in the bush.
living a wild life.

I do need a team;
my life has been a bit of a depressing working for assholes, I want to be a pro hunter.. what I believe it is "my life" :)
my past is more of surviving, and putting up with. It's time to lead and build my worth living life while im still 29.
I love climbing up hills, spearfishing for food and maybe learn how to catch some meat and im ready for the jungle :)
So far, I got tent kits, spear fishing gear. hoping to find some gold... and pay for bills hehe.
anyway great to be here in the forum I know how to use the gold bug pro now :) its been a week and I have dug out atleast $50 worth in coins, bracelets. great detector, hoping to dig out some more

Welcome to the forum Susu. Sounds like the great Australian dream may be within your reach with the amount of determination you have. Hope the dream becomes a reality for you and I'm sure with some experience in the detecting game, some extra cash will come your way.

Best of luck with it and hope the forum can give you some valuable advice along the way.

Cheers Wal.

I got 10k to spend on a vehicle..
Jeep or toyota land cruiser?
manual or auto does it matter in hill climb and rough terrain?
I just want to get started with sleeping out and need rooms for pumps and electricity gear as well.. for video and documenting would be good :)
not many option please limited to 10k if anyone got anything done for less?
much appreciate and thank you in advance for your contribution.
Susu.

Stop stealing my ideas!

You're planning to do pretty much the same thing I am and the same age!

Here's my write up.

Save up enough to travel without work for a year- (finally)check
Buy metal detector and accessories- check
Buy fishing tackle/spear fishing equipment/camping equipment etc -check
Buy 4x4 -check
Turn 4x4 in to camper - almost done
Quit job - in progress :)

Travel to the various goldfields in Australia in the hope to find some of that yellow stuff. Also do some exploration in the hope of uncovering new gold bearing ground.
Prospect in WA for a month or so and take a break when I feel like it, drive to exmouth or any other cool place along the coast and camp by the beach fishing for pelagics or spearing a feed every night.
Head back into the goldfields at my hearts content.
At the point now where my toughest decision is deciding between whether to go to Vic or WA first. I'm in SA. Lot's of trout in the streams and some amazing gold bearing country throughout Victoria

I love the outdoors. Extreme weather doesn't faze me. Hell I'd love to experience a cyclone in the top end from a safe vantage point. I live in the dry state. Variety is the spice of life.

I'm leaving in about 6 weeks. Perhaps we can meet up at some point along the way! Sounds like we share a few interests :)
Maybe we can exchange some ideas or advice. Feel free to PM.

just following up some of my posts, and thank you everyone for the warm welcomes.

To Duck: Thanks for the invite I will pm you when I can make it to Vic I know there are gold there but it is still a long range for me to leave my grandparents at the moment.
But soon when they leave the country I will be making my way down south first and then wests... *still got the fever* haha

to Nuggetino: I would love to go WA too but we will meet some time for some fun first, and my fun is digging holes :) and finding precious stones. I am in the process of building a sleeping space and in researching for some more spots around nsw first, I've got some results last week, but just a few specks haha and its enough to fire me up!
Anyway I will catch up in PMs.
take care
susu!
