Hay Ian,
No, not yet.
There are too many other things happening around here lately like my sons 17th, my daughters 21st is coming up, drag racing etc, etc.
I'm hoping to get to my secret spot over Easter and give it a good go using the submersible pump I showed you.

Cheers
Mick

Backcreek, how did your spot go? Did your highbanking hunch pay off & you are now kicking back relaxing?

When are u headed out next? I'm from SW Sydney also & am keen whenever you are!

Hey Mick,

I've been ratted out. No use denying it - with dam kids running around and no time to concentrate I had to do one last before I could PM... But don't worry I also will hopefully have something to contribute to these forums very soon.

It was a random question with little chance of sticking. Thought you may have been someone else. Nevermind :)

Have you been back to your secret patch yet?

Hay Kemjak,
You guys have some big porkers up there that's for sure.
I was up your way July last year.
We took 6 dirt bikes and 2 4bies to the tip. Great trip.

Cheers
Mick

Thats one thing i have been thinking about if i am out bush fossicking around and a wild pig decides to go me

They can usually smell guns ( i know goats can ) , whats the chances the pig will decide to take a leg off me for a souvenir or are they more likely to run and hide if they hear me or smell me coming ?

cheers :)

Hay Headsup,
It's unlikely a pig will come near you if he knows your there. Generally the only time they will attack you is if you threaten them or corner them.
I had one come towards me over Easter near my prospecting spot while I was sitting quietly having lunch. All I did was cough and it was gone.
They don't have the best eyesight and rely on their hearing and sense of smell.
I only wish I had my .270 with me, he would have been bacon.

Cheers
Mick

I used to catch pigs with dogs, they get a bit cranky if you or the dogs got hold of them otherwise they will run away if they can.

thanks people . duly noted in my Safe Work Methods Fossicking Prestart paperwork ;)

just a small note on my comment above regarding goats in case it interests any hunters. . .

My neighbours handraised a goat from the day it was born , it had never seen guns or heard gunshots before but when a mate came over with a few rifles in his car the goat went off its nut and started snorting at him and headbutting the fence.
I thought it amazing that the goat just knew from some kind of hereditary understanding in its consciousness.

best wishes peepil :)
