I have been enjoying the articles for a while now and thought I had better introduce myself.
I live on Sydneys Northern Beaches, Pittwater area.
Recently I have decided to try my hand at some gold detecting.
I own and operate a fishing charter business and see prospecting as "land fishing".
You have to have the right equipment, knowledge of your targets, luck, patience and you wont find anything when sitting on the couch.
Nothing decent anyway :lol:

Firstly Roy, I may have to change couches by the sound of it.
Bumdags, fishing charters are a great way to go broke slowly. Way too many costs to make a decent living.
You just get to enjoy the job and watch the missus pay the bills.
Its a shame that lifestyle can't be spent at the supermarket.
