So this may be a long shot but yesterday I lost my wedding ring in the surf at redhead beach. I know there is pretty much no chance of finding it but came across this site and thought that if any gold prospectors out there who go searching around redhead regularly do happen to find it, I would really love to get it back. Hi Jason83. Sorry to hear you lost your wedding ring in the surf at Redhead, but I'm afraid there's not to much anyone can do to help. As you know the surf there is fairly strong and given the wave action the ring could be anywhere. If it was on the sand or shallower water we could help. I was approached by a woman who lost an expensive engagement ring at Bar Beach out the back of the breakers, same deal, it's gone. Sorry mate.

Was in about waist deep water at the northern end. I realise there is more chance of winning lotto than finding this thing. But thought hey if someone does somehow come across it I wanted to at least put it out there. Anyways I am borrowing a friends detector over the weekend to go have a bit of a browse at low tide just to at least say to myself that I did try to look for it. I don't anticipate finding it, but I may discover I love prospecting it could even become a new hobby
