Looking to give this hobby a try. Not sure I want to spend heaps but will see how it goes. Interested in gold prospecting but not much around Canberra I'm thinking. Hoping to combine some camping and fishing along with some prospecting. From what I have seen my budget will stretch to a Gold Monster 1000 but open to suggestions.

I have emailed him twice and am not getting any response. I am aware that some members do not agree with my stance but many others have been asked to change their Avatar names without any hassle at all. I do not think it unreasonable to request this of him.

Ok thanks for the responses. Not sure what all the fuss is about with the name but it is the bubble wrap 21st century where everybody is offended by everything. I'm overweight from a dubious lineage but hey whatever floats your boat. In my quest for a machine I'm now leaning towards the Equinox 800 as it is waterproof and the GM isn't other than that doesn't seem to be much in it from what I can see?
