Hi I'm Tom from Sydney. Mostly done gold panning and high banking but have dabbled in some gem fossicking and lately have been bitten by the opal bug. I have also become increasingly intrested in the cutting, grinding and polishing of gems opals in particular. Decided to join this forum as it appears to cover a wide range of fossicking types.
