I've been watching Aussie gold hunters on tv and I'm getting on a bit in life, I was hoping to plan a trip over to Australia in the next year or two with my daughter and spend a year travelling around and hopefully getting in some detecting.

I'll be honest, I've never done it before in my life and it'll be a massive learning curve, but I'd like to live the dream and have a good time trying to find some gold.

It is a learning curve - yet there is lot's of fun and good times to had whilst learning.
I don't believe the learning curve ends.
You should holler when you are coming over as someone will be keen to help..

I've already been practicing my G'Day routine with my daughter, it's driving her mad
