I'm 24, from Melbourne, Vic.
I have always been interested in gold prospecting and gemstone fossicking but have never really had the knowledge to go out and do it on my own. I am very keen to give searching for gemstones a go just really have no idea where to start or what to look for. Hawthorn is my team hopefully the premiership will be ours this Saturday lol. But yea I am open for any advice you guys have on gold prospecting and gem fossicking. Don't be shy I am never going to say no to knowledge.

I don't know spit about gemstones, but you'll get plenty of advice, there's a hoard of knowledgeable members, more than happy to help you out.

Strangely enough I know a Chris barker from melbourne, who also follows the Hawks. But he is much older than you.

Either way welcome, you will find a great bunch in here.

Welcome to the forum Chris. You made a good choice in choosing the forum, as the knowledge you will gain from here will soon get you amongst many of those Victorian Gold and Gem localities.

hello to everyone,my name is Tony I am 44 and live in North Rocks NSW,
I have been watching Walnliz on youtube and really appreciate your advice ,my brother inlaw and I have even followed wals instructions and built our own highbanker,the videos on youtube and information on this forum has opened a new world for me ,my brother inlaw and I are starting our first little adventure in 10 days time ,starting in Ballarat for 5 days then a few places like Wee Jasper on the way back to Sydney ,any tips or locations would be greatly appreciated,we would both respect and clean up any spots we visit.thankyou
