Just thought I'd introduce myself.
Im Mitch and I'm actually son of thesmithy and have just returned from the same trip to Tuena.
Like thesmithy im also a farrier and retained firefighter in Fire and Rescue NSW
Had a ball down there at Tuena and was also refered to this forum by Goldrocs .
That was a my second trip out looking for gold and I'm glad to say that i have a nice little bit of colour thats my meal ticket for a next trip.
If I came home empty handed, my missus wouldn't have a bar of it.
My first trip was out to hill end with a few buckets and pans and wasn't going too well (1 or 2 specs) until a fellow prospector turned up on his first trip with a highbanker that he greatfully let us throw a few buckets through.
A fair bit of colour showed up and the next thing you know, dad has bought the same highbanker and off to Tuena we go.
I hope to get a few ideas on improving the gold prospecting experience from the forum members and also give out advice when I work out what I'm doing.
Cheers
